Pricing
Starting prices, confirmed after assessment
Prices start at EUR 10 per piece, and the final figure is confirmed after assessment. Payment is tied to the result: you pay when the edge cuts as agreed.

Common questions
Why are there no fixed prices in the table?
Because a merely worn blade and a damaged one cannot honestly be put on the same line. The figure in the table is a starting price — the lowest amount for a piece in serviceable condition. What applies to your tools becomes clear once the cutting edge, the depth of any chipping and the angle the maker gave the tool have been assessed.
What if the job turns out dearer than the starting estimate?
You hear about it before anything begins. If the assessment shows that more material has to come off or that the bevel needs setting afresh, the price is confirmed with you. Without that confirmation the work does not start.
On shears, does the price cover the pair or a single blade?
The pair. Hairdressing, thinning and tailor’s shears are not two separate knives; they are a pair that has to meet, so they are stripped, cleaned, sharpened on both blades and re-tensioned, with the ride line left untouched. The same goes for clipper blade sets: cutter and comb are sharpened and matched as a set, so the price covers the set.
Why is no VAT charged on the invoice?
The workshop is not VAT-registered, so the invoice carries the note: VAT is not charged pursuant to Article 94(1) of the Slovenian VAT Act (ZDDV-1). The price you see is final and no VAT is added to it; at the same time, VAT-registered buyers have no input VAT to deduct on these invoices. The invoice is made out to your company and issued by Igor Komadina s.p.
Is it cheaper to send several pieces at once?
On larger batches the price per piece is agreed in advance and confirmed after assessment; there is no published scale. Price aside, one consignment instead of several means postage paid once, and the tools are away from your premises in a single stretch rather than piecemeal.
Who pays the postage?
The sender pays for the consignment to the workshop, and return postage is payable by the customer. Send on a tracked service, and an insured one where the tools warrant it — loss or damage in transit is the carrier’s responsibility, not the workshop’s.
